Here we go again bringing one more Forró dancing instructor to Oahu - this time directly from Brazil!
Mari Brasil is on tour around the US and after Hawai'i, she is going to Europe!
This time workshop will be on Friday and Saturday at night. We will have beginners and seasoned dancers class.
TBD if we are having a dance party after the class. If it happens, cover included for participants!
A little bit about Mari Brasil:
Mariana Brasil was born in Salvador - BA, Brazil. Started to dance in 2012, focusing on the Itaúnas style (Roots). Started as a teacher at Balanço Nordestino Forró School in 2017. Since then, she has led Forró workshops in several events in Brazil. In her EuroTours, in 2018, 2019, and 2022, she had the opportunity to teach in 9 countries and 27 cities of the old continent. Was part of the team of teachers of Forrozeando School of Forró; coordinated the Aprenda Roots project, Só para Elas project, and Online Forró Classes, focused on individual dance techniques to Forró, as well specific classes with technique for Roots Style. Nowadays, teaches in her hometown, focusing on Roots style dance technique, musicality, and leading/following technique. She believes in building consciousness, technique, and body and mind willingness in its plenitude to artistically express oneself within the dance.
